W4’s is proud to announce the start of The Modern Gentlemen's Guide which features lively analysis of pressing issues. Today our correspondent begins by examining the creatures that live in the LES, Williamsburg, Shoreditch and any other derelict and/or Communist looking neighbourhood awash in cheap beer.

Hippies / Hipsters: Hippies are in theory a thing of the past, so I'm really talking more about the hipster / grunge/ indie rocker phenomenon. These people should be shot. There is nothing cool about being unkempt, unshaven, unhygienic, drugged-out, or just pretending to be (which is most often the case). These people are generally those who have been failures thus far in their lives and are trying to explain it away as a form of rebellion. You're not cool, you suck, get a job that does not involve designing your own business cards that say "Muse." I own you -- Enough said.
