Summer Soles

A new Berluti store has opened in New York on Madison Avenue. Fantastic French handmade men's shoes. They can be pierced, tatooed, and painted all sorts of colors. Price start at about 1,200 and go up from there for bespoke. Berluti--been around since 1895 an basically the best shoes in the world, never before sold in the US (except for a ghetto assortment at Barney's). The Swann Club is also very cool. Basically it's a club for Berluti's best customers to get together over dinner (first one was at the Crillon) and discuss shoes and life. After dinner, they remove their precious shoes and shine them using Venetian linen, polish, and Dom Perignon--sounds pretty badass or maybe I'm crazy.
