Our sun zombie on the west coast reports on one of their favourite LA hideaways:

"Pace up in Laurel Canyon is the best place to take a date or just to go for a chilled out dinner without any of the industry b.s. Word is that back in the 70s/80s when this whole wild set lived up in the hills the restaurant and the Laurel Canyon general store next door were major drug running operations. It's still a great place to go and mellow out -- even if the crowd is now looks somewhat above board. Although most of the people there are definitely not flying coach, the place retains its bohemian atmosphere. Everyone I know who's taken a date up there has gotten laid."

We would like to note that our SPF 15 West Coast Correspondent failed to even mention the food. But its LA so no one cares about that anyway.
