Freaki Tiki : London Luau

When we came across the invitation for the upcoming London Luau we have to say we were more than a bit intrigued. Billed as a, "Weekend of Sophisticated Savagery Dedicated to the Worship of Tiki and Exotica" and sponored by Polynesian good time spot Trader Vics and an art gallery named Cheeky Tiki, the London Luau aims to bring a bit of sun to often cloudy Booze Island. The Tiki weekend will be spread across London's Polynesian drinking spots including Trailer Happiness, the South London Pacific and Trader Vics. With scorpion bowls abound and with bands with names such as King Kululele & the Friki Tikis from California and Terrii Nui from Tahiti set to perform it should be one not to miss if only for the irreverent nature of it all. And after a more than a few Puka Puka drinks you may even find yourself looking forward to some 'worship of exotica'.
