Hobbs: The Only Name Worth Knowing

These some of the only bathing suits worth owning. Too bad our staff photographer couldn't work the point and shoot. While swimming in red wine on the left bank recently we came across on these at the high end French cashmere boutique, Hobbs. The only other place we've seen bathing suits this 70s-retro cool was on the ageing population at your local Long Island/New England WASPy country club.

Besides making top quality cashmere sweaters and scarves in over 2,000 custom colours, Hobbs also has a quirky Beatles licence that allows them to make psychedelic sweaters for well off ex-hippies. In addition, Hobbs also have a small bathing suit production run. You'll be seeing them at la playa soon, cocktail in hand.
