When the sun sets over the Arabian Peninsula, the future of Dubai shines bright as Hong Kong of the Middle East. Sheikh Mohammed has done an excellent job of creating one of the most tolerant and free-wheeling locals in the Middle East while regulating all liquor serving establishments and 'western excess' to the confines of hotels. Which is great because it means all the party people are confirmed to be a set number of locals. More intel comes in from Suncrawler in the UAE:

"Sunday night at Sho Cho is about as good as it gets. The outdoor seaside sushi bar with excellent rock shrimp turns into a packed dancing frenzy as the night develops with the sexy eye candy ex-pat crowd. The deeply tanned and well dressed westerners let loose and ocassionally someone falls overboard and into the surf but that's Dubai - a drunken camel at an oasis in the desert.

Upstairs from Sho Cho is Boudoir. The club is reminiscent of La Suite in Paris but is stocked with Russian women who are clearly looking to bill your expense account. The music though is on point as some of the best in Dubai and the magnums are flowing. Head hear if you miss London, New York or Paris."
